Prayer

Clarity in our intentions

French l Spanish

Before praying, pay particular attention to the minute of inner silence in which we ask for forgiveness from those we need to forgive.

Are my intentions precise and clear enough?

When you enter into this part of the prayer, you know that you will have precise prayer intentions. First of all, there is a Thanksgiving, before opening the door: "Lord, I thank you because You will give me all that I will ask." You should enter prayer with this state of mind. Trust that God is listening and will grant you whatever you require. Of course, if you ask for something related to your personal glory, you will not have it. But you will have anything that you ask, relating to the good of your family, of your friends, of your country or for justice in the world.

People have prayed so much already, and in Brazil there are believers who have prayed for years and years. You are aware of what is happening, since you have shown me pictures of the Virgin of Medjugorje, with words in your languages. The Virgin appears all over the world, and what does she ask all of her children? Mary asks them not to follow like a herd of bleating sheep. She wants her children to be aware of what they are asking. She will grant you everything that is clear in your thoughts. If you pray and say: "I am unworthy, I am not loved enough, She will never grant me that..." How do you expect Her to grant it you? You are sitting on a fence. And She says: "Do I grant it or not? What does he want?" That's exactly it. You pray and all of a sudden I hear you say: "I will pray for my sister-in-law because she is suffering from a cancer, etc. Yes but she has lived so very maliciously that she will certainly not heal, well I will pray for her anyway..." How can you expect her to heal?

The other day, during the seminar, I asked you to have at least a minute of inner silence before praying. How can we approach God and ask Him to forgive our sins, which is what you say in the Our Father, isn't it ? How about you, have you forgiven your brothers?

So you see the ambiguity in the thoughts of men. We must know what it means to speak. And if you want to pray for someone, even if he is your enemy, especially if he is your enemy, forgive him for all that you have to forgive, and love him as your own child. When you arrive at that state, I guarantee that you will receive an answer to your prayers, within a few hours.
