Have you accepted the death of a loved one?

"We must therefore go beyond our human limitations to achieve this state of richness that God offers us to live with Him, close to Him. Yes, the Our Father suddenly frees us because it conveys: "I love you. I am here. I love your son or your daughter, they are close to me. What are you afraid of?"

Yes, there are situations in life that are very difficult to get over, and grief is one of them. The death of a child is inexplicable. We absolutely cannot explain why this child has returned to the Father.

Death remains a mystery to man until you realize that everyone's time is measured and that at one point in our lives, we are called back to the Father. Then everything becomes serene. We no longer cling to lifelines but suddenly, we understand that love is stronger than death and that death does not exist. Life is continuous at death. Life continues onward to life. It is just a garment that we take off one day because it is worn, because it suffers or just because we want to change our skin. That is death.

As for the death of our child, it takes a lot of self-sacrifice. It takes faith. We need to be helped, as Pierre said earlier: No, he did not accept it, he wanted to believe in God, but no, it is not possible that his son who knew how to swim - who was a great swimmer or diver - could die like that. It is impossible! Something happened...

Life shows us every day that inexplicable things happen and if we do not have faith, we could no longer live. We must therefore go beyond our human limitations to achieve this state of richness that God offers us to live with Him, close to Him. Yes, the Our Father suddenly frees us because it conveys: "I love you. I am here. I love your son or your daughter, they are close to me. What are you afraid of ?"

But this whole journey takes time: time, patience and tolerance. We need a lot of love, but for that, we must be able to accept the love of others, and this is yet another path: the acceptance of the love of others. This is a long path that is not easily travelled; yet, it is the only thing that really delivers us. It is the only way to attain the inner peace that Christ tells us about: this is truly the gift of love that God asks us to live down here.
