What does educating a child mean to me?

What is Education ? It is everything. It is life. We may never have needed to make schools if parents were true educators, but we have forgotten this process of kinship which gives the first basic education to all children of the world. This is what happened in ancient societies.

So today, we must overcome this family deficit. We need strangers, teachers, men and women to care for children and educate them. To educate is to raise consciousness in order to perceive all that is needed in this world. So it is obvious to teach them to defend themselves because a child is born completely defenseless. A child is born with a force of love but he is unable to fight outside of love. But now we are in a world of violence and a child is not made for violence; so the child will struggle and that is why we see murders, because children will try to find artificial means in order to feel strong. They will take any type of weapons: drugs are one of them; alcohol is another, and guns and knives are others. These are weapons that children take on because they have no way to feel alive in this world of madness.

For me, education is a major priority, and I ask you again to work more with the House of Sainte Anne because it needs you, as you need it, in the consciousness of what it means to animate.

When I received the people for the House of Youth - as it was once called - the animators were amazed about what I told them because for them it seemed easy : because they had had children, or they were going to have children, or they did not have any but they were sure they would, soon enough, they thought it was easy to be with children. Well it's not true; it's not easy. It's an enormous task because a child is complete. A child has an immense richness, and arrives here like a huge bundle of light, tons of light, imposing its presence on others. As we approach the child, we impose matter, whereas he imposes spirit. Out of these two worlds comes a singular combat because we want them, being small, to yield to our wishes. And I would like the House of Education to never do what National Education did: to break a child through will, through violence, through punishments, through obedience, that is, through will. They must break the will of a child. But what they don't know is that one does not break the will of a child without breaking him for life.

This is what I want you to work on, and actually, I would also ask all of you together to make an appointment with the House of Health because in this human world, we are all considered sick, we have all been so and we still are.

Diseases are varied, but disease means suffering: an unease to speak. There are many things we do not say and that is why in IVI, we have introduced the possibility to speak, speak, speak: that is, One-on-One Listenings. We will never truly understand the richness of a Listening, and Christ said it himself: "Confess yourselves to one another." He knew it was the only way man was able to stop meandering through his sorrows, his difficulties, his materialistic battles, simply because the language of the other, the listening, the quality of the other who will listen without judging, is what guarantees that this man or woman will be able to escape from inner struggles. Because the biggest battles you have are not with the outside, that is, with your families, as one might think, nor with all those around you, nor fights at work. Your greatest enemy is within you, it is you, it is the ego against the self. This is where you must see the enemy. How can we have cheated to such an extent for so many years, believing ourselves to be superior or simply believing that we had eliminated the enemy? But the enemy is still alive; it is the ego. Yet the ego is necessary for human structure, but this is where we need to see clearly: let's allow the ego to take its place but let's dominate the ego by the Spirit. This means trying to allow the expression of each one of our feelings.

We know that in science we cannot measure the quality of feelings. No science whatsoever can today truly measure what it means to "vibrate" for example. You vibrate, don't you? When you go to Vibrations, you vibrate, but you also vibrate when you have an emotion. You also vibrate when you grieve. You vibrate when you have joy... All these ways "to vibrate" are different from one another and that's why God gave you this Vibration key. Why? Because it is the language between heaven and earth. It is the first language of man with God, therefore between the Creature and his Creator. As long as we do not understand the meaning of such importance... you already see a lot of things happening at the level of Vibrations. You've seen it simply through the weather, through the clouds, the wind... You have seen striking examples of it everywhere, but you must understand that it goes well beyond weather; it goes beyond space-time. Vibrations are not quantifiable today; they cannot be measured because their power is so great.

How do these Vibrations exist? Through the human voice. Is it not your voice that is expressed? It is precisely because your voice is expressed that you are listened to. According to the echoes you issue, there is an immediate response. It's not three hours later, but it is rather within a split second from when you express yourself that you receive the answer to your request.

We must realize that we are in a completely fabulous world that was utopian. I could not talk about it even a few years or a few months ago, but things are going very quickly. Man has arrived at a stage of such complexity, of such magnitude that we would not understand, simply could not understand, what man is. Because it is obvious that it is well noted: you are gods. Christ mentions this himself before the great Sanhedrin, before Pilate, after He was told, "But you take yourself to be the Son of God, you say you are the Son of God..." He said, "Is it not written in the Bible: you are all gods?" So it is clear that if we are all gods, we have no more problems of education. We are gods but we do not know it. We live as slaves and not as gods.
