Honesty

Self assessment

What room have we made for God in our daily lives
and within ourselves?

Entering the notion of love, we understand that we lower our pride to attain humility, so that we may give Him His space. Then, it is up to Him to direct our life, hence our body, hence our ‘vehicle’. Do you see the difference ? So it is very important to understand that being honest is to examine oneself, to understand this sacred substance of which we are built.

First of all, one must realise what “honest” means. Being honest with oneself is to become aware that we cannot deceive oneself. One could deceive others, but to deceive oneself would be to place God in our deceptions, that is, it would assimilate God into our imperfections. Being honest with oneself is to know that our thoughts and our actions can only be carried out while in the company of God; He cannot absent Himself during the imperfections. Being honest with oneself is to live with the honour of serving Him at every instant, at every moment. It is to know that He is present within us when we say, announce or declare anything.

Being honest with oneself is firstly to be honest with God. Do you think that God would be unaware or far from us when we create serious imperfections for others? Honesty is one of the primary virtues of man, God-man! Understand one thing: when God created the universe, the sky and the earth, the myriads of stars and all the elements which He placed on this Earth, the mineral, plant and animal kingdoms, He saw that something was missing. He wanted to put something different from all the other worlds that He had created. He wanted to hide His own Being, to put this very particular substance in this galaxy. He made the “outfit” that was suitable for this substance: man.  He created man.  And from man, He extracted woman, it is symbolic
This means that man and woman can never leave each other; they are made to be together; it is the osmosis of flesh through flesh.

Therefore honesty is knowing that God created us in His own image: that is, He “clothed” Himself with our body, this body which can only be created in love. What is the Spirit if not love? An injury against the Spirit? Abortion, for example, and that means that to be honest with oneself is to understand that God is in us, that He sees us, He watches us, He understands us. He allows our behaviour because He loves us totally, but it is because of His love for us that He wants us to become totally in His image. That is why this path on earth is the path to perfection.  It is to lead all of mankind to live this divine osmosis which prevails over all the other worlds.  Yet this world has been intercepted by the weakness of man.  Humans are responsible for sin because they “flirted” with he who tempted them.

Honour is honesty; it is to realise that we can do nothing without God’s presence within each one of us.  He observes us; He does not judge us.  If we could totally understand what love is, the love of God Himself
If we attain love, we will have understood everything.  We could no longer be dishonest with ourselves.  We are already aware when we are dishonest with others: whether by lying, being hypocritical or betraying.  We know when we are not honest in front of others, but to notice that we are not honest with ourselves is to enter into the essential of our lives.

That is why you must understand the meaning of creation; that is: “And God created man in His image”.  He has hidden the most extraordinary substance in the body of man.  God has hidden this jewel inside every man.   Being honest with oneself is to understand that we are two in a single body
Sort of like being a car and its chauffeur!  Your car can only be driven by you, that is, you enter your car and you direct it. Yet God is in us but He lets Himself be directed by us, that is the difference.

Entering the notion of love, we understand that we lower our pride to attain humility, so that we may give Him His space. Then, it is up to Him to direct our life, hence our body, hence our ‘vehicle’.

Do you see the difference?  So it is very important to understand that being honest is to examine oneself, to understand this sacred substance of which we are built.

It is therefore very important, because we are living something extraordinary: we advance day-by-day towards that light and knowledge, that consciousness that God has given man.  He does not want to remove this from us. On the contrary He wants us to fully attain it, He wants nothing to be done mysteriously, He wants everything to be in broad daylight; but for everything to be clear, every man must become clear with himself.

We can of course make confessions, and it is very important, but a confession is only useful if we transform what allowed us to confess. That is, that we do not perpetrate so-called sins, in the knowledge that they will be pardoned. The whole world has done this. This confession, whether to others or a Father or a priest, must be done with an inner conditioning: so as to be aware of not committing again what we have already done. The construction of a being is conditional upon this! It is conditional upon the fundamental honesty of man with himself. We cannot be honest with others as long as we are not honest with ourselves.

You know very well how difficult it is to not lie to oneself. All societies have taught us to be spineless, hypocritical, egocentric, so that we could be blinded by our mind. It is because of this blindness that we are not conscious. Man’s consciousness is the experimentation of all of life’s mysteries. Consciousness is the one that is awake to see, to understand, to consolidate. Our supraconsciousness is the supreme substance that cannot express itself unless the consciousness has been allowed to affirm itself in discernment.  So one must be very precise when speaking about honesty.
