Have we progressed in the acquisition of those virtues which we lacked?
When we begin to respect the three fundamental laws, we reverse the impact of our faults. Because faults pass through Love. They can only be reversed through Love.
You know that there have been many prophets in the world. Many men and women have come to earth to give witness to a Divine life. However, today we are going to speak of the highest member of this group: the Son! And truly there has been only one! I believe that we must really understand what Christ came to give us. He came precisely to shed the necessary light upon things as simple as our faults and our virtues. His entire message is truly this. He is not teaching us to be wizards! He does not teach us how to fly, in formation, up pyramids, no! He teaches us how to do daily things... how to face events; to not fear; to be tolerant; to avoid judgment; to not push away our children, but rather to let them come; to respect the elderly; to dress the wounds of the unclean; to see that all who are ill, are our brothers, our equals...
How Christ behaved then is really what billions of people on this earth are hopeful for today. If people had known how to interpret the Gospels as they were taught to us originally, we wouldn't see all that we see today. People are ignorant of the facts. And I think the first remarkable outcome when one begins to understand Christ, is that one simply starts to love. Because all of his laws, the two fundamental laws which he has given us, are about Love: "Love your neighbor as yourself. Love one another as I have loved you." These two laws... are remarkable, as is the first one which we cannot forget: "Love your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength!" When we begin to respect these three fundamental laws, we reverse the impact of our faults. Because faults pass through Love. They can only be reversed through Love. Impatience through patience: you must love to attain patience. Intolerance through tolerance: you must understand in order to be tolerant, and therefore... love. Pride lets us access humility: understanding how pride kills us. And what if we suddenly want to leave behind this pride, well, we observe humility. It is because He loved them that Christ washed the feet of his apostles. He tells us: "You call me Master, and I tell you "yes", you are right: I am, but I want to show you what a real Master is: he also washes his servants' feet."
Every action is balanced by Love. There isn't a single fault that can be transformed without Love. No fault can be transformed by willpower, only by Love. Please do understand that if Humanity's legacy had been virtues which only a very few could actually acquire, then I would quickly say: "I don't believe in God." But because, on the contrary, God has given us all the virtues necessary to reach Him, and He, us, and to let us be reached by Him, loved by Him, then yes, I believe in God, because he has given us the possibility of becoming like Him, in his image. Realize that every second of our life, without any reservations whatsoever, God gives us the strength to achieve the virtues we are lacking. And what virtues do we lack? We must at some time become fully aware of what we are missing. What are the virtues I would like to have? If I do not have these, what is preventing me from acquiring them? Let's think about what is opposite to these virtues, and we will understand that we probably have the corresponding fault. War, as I was telling you in Carnac, is not with your "external" enemies. That is why Christ said: "Pray for your enemies." Man's greatest enemy is himself. In mythology, this is represented by dragons or enormous beasts, etc. That is what we can read in mythologies. Man with his fears, his terrors, his imagination or, rather, illusions, illusions which are going to transform him into a veritable monster... Man becomes a monster, if he does not access the Light which allows him to see which are his virtues and which are his faults! When we realize that we would like to be patient, nothing prevents us from becoming so. And if we suddenly notice that we are not generous, what stops us from being so? It is the fear of lacking! And when we realize that we are jealous, what is this jealousy that eats at us? Which virtue could be the antidote? Which quality could help us shift, and no longer be jealous? Simply self-confidence! It is the fear of not being recognized or loved. The fear that someone else is superior to us. We are afraid our husband or wife will prefer another. This jealousy eats at us. It is the absolute confirmation that you have no self-confidence. "Yet I was full of pride... so I must have had confidence in myself..."Yes, you had confidence in your intellect, but not in your Soul. God is in the soul, and He is above everything, He therefore has all virtues, and if you are to have self-confidence, it is through Him. Therefore, no jealousy. Everything is so. We must therefore understand that our faults are simply the revelation of those virtues which we lack. We have to fight, fight with our self, in an inner combat, which is the hardest kind of combat since there is no external enemy, just... ourself. We can no longer say: "It's his fault..." No! We are responsible for our own faults. Not Dad, Mom, your brother, your husband... No! We have created this because we wallow in our muck. When we wake up, and suddenly become conscious of our deviances, we suddenly want to change. We want to discover what is possible, what recipe to use to transform all of that. I will tell you this: It is easy to change: you simply have to love... every second of your lives.
